Born at Nottingham and lived at 2, Beaumont Street, Sneinton, Nottingham. Son of Felix and Mary Lockwood, 22, Poplar Square, Nottingham. Husband of Eliza Lockwood. He was a general labourer prior to enlisting at Nottingham. He was killed in action, 5th June 1917, aged 38, during the German shelling of the line at Bilhem Farm, France.
