Private Walter Hunt

Battalion : 1/8th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born at Ordsall, Nottinghamshire and lived at Balderton, Nottinghamshire. Son of George and Martha Hunt, of 31, Grove Street, New Balderton. He was an apprentice iron moulder prior to enlisting at Newark. He went to France 2nd March 1915 and was killed in action, 24th April 1915, aged 20, by German shellfire whilst serving in the line at Kemmel, Belgium.
