He was born at Ockbrook, Derbyshire. Son of John Aspinall Hunt and Minnie Beatrice Hunt, of Woodstock, Shalford, Surrey. He went to France on 10th January 1916 and was killed in action, on 1st July 1916, aged 19, during the attack on Gommecourt, France, on the first day of the Battle of the Somme.
