Battalion: 11th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born at Sneinton, Nottingham. He married Elizabeth Mary Whittington on the Isle of Wight on 18th July 1905. Was a storekeeper who lived in Derby. He enlisted at the age of 40 at Derby in September 1914 and went to France on 29th August 1915. He died from gunshot wounds to his chest in February 1916.
