Corporal Charles Hoyle

Battalion : 2/7th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Son of Major and Ellen Hoyle, of Huddersfield; Husband of Sarah Hoyle, of 4, Athbro Street, Beeston Hill, Leeds, Yorkshire. He enlisted at Leeds, 10th September 1914. He was appointed Lance Corporal 14th January 1916 and promoted Corporal 25th March 1916. Transferred to the 2/7th Battalion Sherwood Foresters 31st March 1916 and died of wounds 26th April 1916, age 33 received the same day when attacking 25 Northumberland Road, Dublin, during the Irish rebellion.
Buried: Grangegorman Military Cemetery, Republic of Ireland.
