Lance Corporal Samuel John Hough

Born at Arnold, Nottinghamshire. Son of John and Louisa Hough, of Calverton Road, Arnold, Nottinghamshire. Husband of Hannah Hough, of 10, High St. Avenue, Arnold, Nottingham. He was a coal miner and enlisted at Nottingham 7th January 1904. He was appointed Lance Corporal 8th August 1914 and was killed in action, 9th August 1915, age 30, on an attack at Hooge, Belgium.
