Born at Folkstone, Kent and lived Harlesden, Middlesex; Brother of Roland Holmes. He enlisted at Mill Hill, Middlesex and was killed in action, 8th October 1916, during the attack on the Schwaben Redoubt, near Thiepval, France during the Battle of the Somme.
