Son of James and Elizabeth Holloway. He was a horseman and lived at Python Hill Road, Rainworth, Nottinghamshire. He enlisted at Southwell, Nottinghamshire 29th February 1916. Went to France 5th October 1918 and was killed in action 23rd October 1918.
