Lance Corporal John Hollis

Born and lived in Radford, Nottingham. Son of George and Mary Hollis, of 9 Bulliver Road, Radford. He was a hosiery hand for Gibson and Son’s prior to enlisting 18th August 1910 at Nottingham. He went to France 28th February 1915 and was appointed Lance Corporal 5th June 1915. He was wounded whilst on a digging party near Salvation Wood, Belgium, and died of wounds, 9th July 1915, at No. 14 Field Ambulance, Dickebusch, Belgium.
