Born and lived at Nottingham. Son of William and Eliza Ann Hollingworth, of 48, Grainger Street, Nottingham. Husband of Ellen Hollingworth, of 95, Moreland Street, Meadow Lane, Nottingham. He was a lace jacquard maker prior to enlisting at Nottingham. He was killed in action, on 24th April 1917, aged 27, when a German 8-inch shell burst in the courtyard of battalion headquarters at Lievin, France.
