British 1914 Star, British War and Victory MedalHe was born at Stapleford, Nottinghamshire. Son of Fred and Phobe Florence Hemstock, 4 Bagnall Road, Old Basford, Nottingham. He was a Farm Hand prior to enlisting on 8th August 1914. He went to France 4th November 1914 and was killed in action 25th September 1915, by heavy German shelling of the trenches near Boutillerie Road, France.
