Born and lived at Nottingham. Son of William and Deborah Harvey, of 9, Davis Street, Carlton Road, Nottingham; Husband of Ada Blatherwick (formerly Harvey), of 3, Carrington Terrace, Salford Street, Alfred Street, Nottingham. He enlisted at Nottingham and was killed in action, 17th July 1916, aged 26, by German shellfire, whilst in the line south-east of Trones Wood, France during the Battle of the Somme.
