Private Frank (Francis Robert) Green

Born at Buxton, Derbyshire 8th September 1889 and lived at Buxton. Son of Fred and Thirza Green, of 1, Kings Road, Fairfield, Buxton, Derbyshire. He was a Stonemason’s Labourer prior to enlisting at Derby. He was killed in action, 9th February 1917, aged 28, during the raid on German trenches near Mazingarbe, France.
Buried: Vermelles British Cemetery, France. Plot 5. Row C. Grave 31.
