Born and lived in Manchester. Son of Daniel and Katherine  Gilluley, of 10, Fraser Street, Oldham Road, Newton, Manchester. Enlisted at Ashton-under-Lyme. He was awarded the M.M. London Gazette, 12th December 1917. “For gallantry and devotion to duty when in the attack near Zillebeke, near Ypres on the 20th September 1917”. He was killed in action, 7th October 1918, aged 20, during the attack on Guizancourt Farm, Aisne, France.
