Born at Bow, Middlesex. Son of Leah Gillman, of 39, Alexandra Road, Hornsey, London. He lived at Hornsea and enlisted at Mill Hill, Middlesex and was killed in action 8th October 1916, age 23 during the attack on the Schwaben Redoubt, Thiepval, France during the Battle of the Somme.
