Born at South Darley, Derbyshire. Son of Matthew and Eliza Frost of The Bridge, Matlock, Derbyshire. Husband of Mary J. Frost, of Two Dales, Matlock. He was a railway shunter prior to enlisting 22nd November 1915 at Matlock. He went to France 29th July 1917 and was killed in action, 26th September 1917, aged 28, during the attack at St. Julien, Belgium.
