Born at Hathersage, Derbyshire. Son of Hanna Froggatt, of 8 Thornhill, Hope, Derbyshire. Was a Forester for Derwent Water Board prior to enlisting at Derby. He was killed in action, 9th February 1917, during a raid on the German trenches near Mazingarbe, France.

Commonwealth War Grave Commission show surname as Froggett.
