Born at Manchester and lived at Winster, Derbyshire. Son of Samuel and Grace Foxlow, of East Bank, Winster, Matlock, Derbyshire. He was a farmworker prior to enlisting at Winster. He was killed in action, on 18th April 1917, age 22, by German Shellfire whilst serving in the line near Philosophe, France.
