Battalion : 9th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born and lived at Nottingham. Son of Arthur and Ann Fox, of 7, Simpkins Buildings, Clayton Street, The Meadows, Nottingham. He was a town labourer prior to enlisting on 26th May 1913 at Nottingham. He went to Gallipoli on 28th August 1915 and then to France on 6th June 1916. He was killed in action, on 9th June 1917, aged 19, during the attack at Wytschaete, Belgium.
