British War and Victory MedalBorn at Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, 11th December 1894. Son of Edward and Elizabeth Fowler, of 4, Phoenix Street, Sutton-In-Ashfield. He was employed by the Mansfield and Sutton Co-Operative Society in Outram Street, Sutton-in-Ashfield. He enlisted at Sutton-in-Ashfield 19th January 1916. He served in Ireland during the rebellion before being drafted to France and was killed 26th September 1917, age 22
