Born at Old Radford, Nottingham and lived at Wollaton Woodyard, Wollaton, Nottingham. Son of George and Annie Flint, of 15, Medway Street, Old Radford, Nottingham. He was a bobbin turner prior to enlisting on 13th May 1914 at Nottingham. He went to France on 28th February 1915 and died, on 4th August 1915, aged 18, of gunshot wounds to his head chest and back, at No. 10 Casualty Clearing Station, Remy Siding, Belgium.

Buried: Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery, Belgium. Plot 1, Row C, Grave 17A.
