Sergeant John Herbert Fletcher

Battalion : 1/6th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born at Chapel-en-le-Frith, Derbyshire. Husband of Mary Ann Fletcher, of The Conservative Club, Horwich End, Whaley Bridge, Derbyshire. He was a labourer prior to enlisting 9th September 1914 at Chesterfield. He was appointed Corporal 23rd December 1914 and promoted Sergeant 6th November 1914. He was killed in action, 13th April 1915, whilst serving in the line at Lemme, Belgium.
Buried: Kemmel Chateau Military Cemetery, Belgium. Row E. Grave 48.
