Born at Biggin, Derbyshire and lived at Mill Dale, Alstonfield, Ashbourne, Derbyshire. Son of Hannah Featherstone; Husband of Mary Grace Featherstone, of Mill Dale. He was a farm servant prior to enlisting at Buxton, Derbyshire. He was killed in action, 26th April 1918, aged 30, whilst in the line near Vlamertinghe, Belgium.
