Lived at Little Eaton, derbyshire. Son of John and Sarah Duggan, of Meter House Cottage, Breadsall, Derbyshire. He was farm cowman prior to enlisting at Bakewell. Killed in action 23rd June 1916, age 21.serving in the line at Ferme du Bois.

Buried: Le Touret Military Cemetery, Richebourg-lAvoue, France. Plot 3, Row H, Grave 7.

He is also commemorated on St pauls church, Lychgate War Memorial, Little Eaton, Derbyshire.
