Son of Mr and Mrs John Dring, of Belper, Derbyshire. He lived 5, Scotches, Belper. He was a Railway Labourer prior to enlisting 16, September 1914 at Belper. Went to France 13th March 1916 and was killed in action, 30th May 1916, age 34, whilst serving in the trenches at Foncquevillers, France.
