Born at Alford, Lincolnshire. Son of charles Thomas and Harriet Ann Dixon, of 167 Station Road, Beeston, Nottingham.He was a Baker prior to enlisting19th December at Nottingham.He was killeds in action, 26th April 1916. in Dublin during the Irish rebellion.

Buried: Grangegorman Military Cemetery, Republic of Ireland. CE. 630.

He is also commemorated on St John the Baptoist Church War Memorial, Beeston, Nottinghamshire.
