British War and Victory MedalBorn at Normanton-on-Soar, Leicestershire and lived at Valley Farm Sutton Bonnington, Nottinghamshire. Son of John and Sarah Dewsbury, of Grange Farm West Leake, Loughborough. He was a shop assistant prior to enlisting 23rd November 1915 at Loughborough. He went to France 26th February 1917, was appointed Lance Corporal 23rd March 1917 and promoted Corporal 22nd May 1917. He was killed in action, 26th September 1917, aged 21, during the attack on Otto Farm, near Gravenstafel, Belgium.
