Private Harry Dent

Battalion: 9th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born at Broughton, Lincolnshire and lived at Kirmington Vale, Lincolnshire. Son of John Harrison Dent and Mary Jane Dent, of Keelby, Habrough, Lincolnshire. He was a waggoner on a farm at Cleatham, Kirton Lindsey, Lincolnshire prior to enlisting at Brigg, Lincolnshire. He was killed in action, 24th November 1916, aged 22, during a German barrage, whilst on a working party to the north of Beaumont Hamel, France during the Battle of the Somme.
