Born and lived at Sutton-in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, Son of James and Sarah Jane Dennis, of 37, Walton Street, Sutton-In-Ashfield. He was a framework knitting factory hand prior to enlisting at Sutton-in-Ashfield. He died of wounds 29th May 1917, age 21.

Buried: Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery, Belgium. Plot 12, Row B, Grave 41A
