British 15 Star, British War and Victory MedalBorn and lived at Nottingham. Son of Henry S. and Bessie M. Deavin, of 62, Cranmer Street, Nottingham. He was a lace warehouseman prior to enlisting at Nottingham. He went to France 17th August 1915 and was killed in action, 8th March 1916, aged 30, whilst serving in the line near St. Jean, Belgium.
