Battalion: 10th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born at Ilkeston, Derbyshire and lived at New Houghton, Derbyshire. Son of William and Mary Ann Day, of 288, Devonshire Street, New Houghton. He was a coal miner prior to enlisting 22nd April 1916 at Derby. He went to France 14th August 1918 and suffered gunshot wounds to his leg and abdomen, 29th August 1918 and died, 30th August 1918, aged 19, at No.2 Casualty Clearing Station at Anvin, France.
Buried: Bagneux British Cemetery, Gezaincourt, France. Plot 6. Row D. Grave 27.
