Husband of Elizabeth Castledine Davis, of 34, Kyle Street, Lenton, Nottingham. He was a coal miner prior to enlisting on 12th June 1915 at Nottingham. He went to France on 6th March 1916 and was attached to the 181st Tunneling Company of the Royal Engineers. He died on 16th April 1916, aged 37.
