Born and lived in Nottingham. Son of Abraham and Mary Davis, of 32, Finsbury Avenue, Sneinton Dale, Nottingham. Husband of Harriett May Davis, of 11, Moreland Avenue, Meadow Lane, Nottingham. He was a coach painter prior to enlisting at Nottingham. He was transferred to 553632 Labour Corps and died of dropsy (heart failure) on 5th January 1919, age 43.
