Born 27th May 1899. Son of Richard Edward and Emily Davies, of 96, Bright Street, Wolverhampton. He was a turner prior to enlisting on 21st May 1917 at Wolverhampton. He went to France 1st April 1918 and was accidentally killed 29th May 1919, aged 20, by a German prisoner of war who was examining a rifle in close proximity to Private Davies at Proven prisoner of war camp
