Born and lived at Chesterfield, Derbyshire. Son of Frederick Josiah and Lucy Dann, of 6 Bridge Street, Brampton, Chesterfield. Husband of Minnie Dann, of 43, Walton Drive, Boythorpe, Chesterfield. He was a coal miner prior to enlisting on 11th September 1914 at Chesterfield. He died of wounds, 28th April 1917, aged 24.
