Private James Dale

Battalion: 10th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born at Bugsworth, Derbyshire and lived at Furness Vale, Derbyshire. Son of James and Hannah Dale, of 34, Buxton Road, Furness Vale. He was a grocery assistant for the Co-Operative Society prior to enlisting at Derby. He went to France on 14th July 1915 and was killed in action, 11th October 1917, aged 22, in the Broths attack near Hazebrouck near Ypres, Belgium.
