British 15 Star, British War and Victory MedalBorn at Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire and lived in Toronto, Canada. Son of Arthur W. and Annie Daft, of Ivanhoe, Woodhall Spa. He was a waiter prior to coming from Canada to enlist, 26th October 1914 at Nottingham. He went to France on 25th June 1915 and suffered multiple gunshot wounds, 31st August 1915 at Sanctuary Wood, Belgium. He was treated at No. 46 Field Ambulance, before being transferred to 26th Divisional Casualty Clearing Station at Remy Siding, Belgium where he died of wounds on 1st September 1915.
