Battalion: 1st Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born at Barkstone, Leicestershire. Son of George and Lucy Daff, of Barkstone. He enlisted at Mansfield, Nottinghamshire and went to France on 4th November 1914 and was killed in action 1th March 1915 in the attack at Neuve Chapelle, France.
