Battalion: 15th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born and lived at Newport, Monmouthshire, Wales. Son of David Cumming, of 253, Caerleon Road, Newport. He was a grocer’s assistant prior to enlisting on 23rd August 1916 at Newport. He went to France on 30th March 1918 and was transferred to the 15th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment, 9th April 1918. He was killed in action, 22nd April 1918. in the attack at Aveluy Wood, France.
