Born and lived in Worcester. Son of John and Emma Crump of 4 Quay Street, Worcester. Husband of Fanny L. Crump. He was a bricklayer prior to enlisting at Worksop, Nottinghamshire and served in Gallipoli during 1915. He was killed in action, 11th September 1916, during the German shelling of the trenches South of Thiepval, France during the Battle of the Somme.
