Battalion: 15th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born and lived in Halifax, Yorkshire. Son of Mary Cox, of 30 Beacon Parade, Halifax. He was a worsted mill hand prior to enlisting at Halifax. He was killed in action, 20th October 1917, near Beosinghe, near Ypres, Belgium.
Commemorated: Tyne Cot Memorial, Belgium. Panel 99 to 102 and 162 to 162A.
