Private Henry Cowlishaw

Battalion: 9th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born at Woolley, Derbyshire and lived at Matlock, Derbyshire. Son of Henry and Hannah Elizabeth Cowlishaw, of Woolley. He was a farm labourer prior to enlisting at Chesterfield. He served in Gallipoli during 1915 and was killed in action, 4th October 1917, in the attack near Poelcappelle, near Ypres, Belgium.
