Lance Corporal Cris Cotton

Battalion: 1st Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Son of Crispianus and Sarah Ann Cotton, of “Crisholme,” Forest Road, Loughborough. He was an estimating clerk prior to enlisting on 7th July 1917. He went to France on 3rd April 1918 and was appointed Lance Corporal on 6th May 1918. He was killed in action, 27th May 1918, aged 18. whilst the battalion was in a retiring fight from Montagne de Guyancourt, France.
