Private Harry Cope
Army Number: 31822
Battalion: 9th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born at Mansfield Woodhouse, Nottinghamshire. Son of William and Ann Cope, of 16 Castle Street, Mansfield Woodhouse. He was a cotton mill worker prior to enlisting at Mansfield. He was killed in action, 4th October 1917, in the attack near Poelcappelle, near Ypres, Belgium.
Commemorated: Tyne Cot Memorial, Belgium. Panel 99 to 102 and 162 to 162A.
