Private Douglas Cope

Battalion: 2nd Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Son of Jessie and Sarah Cope, of 150 King’s Street, Fenton, Staffordshire. He was a miner at Glebe Colliery at Fenton prior to enlisting on 27th February 1917 at Stoke-on-Trent. He went to France on 16th September 1918 and was killed in action, 11th October 1918, in the attack at Bellevue, France.
