Son of John and Emma Cooper of East Bridgford, Nottinghamshire. He was a butcher’s errand lad before enlisting at Nottingham. He was Killed in action, on 21st March 1918, whilst holding the line near Noreuil, France on the opening day of the German Spring Offensive or (Kaiserschlact)
