Born and lived at Whittington Moor, Chesterfield, Derbyshire. Son of Samuel and Sarah Ann Silcock, of 30, Chapel Street, Whittington Moor, Chesterfield, Derbyshire. He enlisted at Chesterfield and went to France on 14th July 1915 and died, 15th August 1918, aged 23, whilst a prisoner of war in Frankfurt, Germany.
Buried: Berlin South-Western Cemetery, Germany. Plot 6. Row G. Grave 6.
