Born and lived in Doncaster, Yorkshire. Son of Thomas and Judith Cooper, of 1 Black Bank, Carr, Doncaster. He enlisted at Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire and was killed in action, 21st March 1918, whilst holding the line near Noreuil, France on the opening day of the German Spring Offensive or (Kaiserschlact)
