Born 26th April 1897 at Barlborough, Derbyshire. Son of Robert Henry and Elizabeth Cooper, of 130, Sandy Lane, Worksop, Nottinghamshire. He was a woodturner at Mssrs; Oates Ltd. Worksop prior to enlisting at Worksop. He was killed in action, 7th October 1918, aged 21, whilst serving in the trenches near Seqehart, France.
