Battalion: 1/5th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Son of Joseph and Elizabeth Coope, of Brook Street, Heage, Derby. He was a coal miner prior to enlisting on 4th September 1914 at Derby. He went to France on 4th March 1915 and was killed in action, 10th May 1915, age 20, whilst serving in the line near Lindenhoek, Belgium.

Served as Cooper.
